| Dean Steadman is a Photographer & Film Maker who has established a reputation through his striking photography. His work can be described as ethereal, sculptural and surreal. Dean draws influence for his work from films, paintings and from his subconscious as expressed through his dreams. Having grown up painting and drawing at every opportunity, Dean naturally moved to using a camera as a means to capture his observations, create ideas and recreate his dreams. Taking an idea or concept that originated in his imagination or subconscious and making it ‘real’, as an image, was experienced as exciting, liberating and freeing. This continues to be the impetus for all of Dean’s creative ventures. More recently Dean has moved into directing TV commercials for clients that include UNHCR, The Independent, Hotpoint, SAMSUNG and Olay. His distinctive style is in demand from a wide range of clients.
